ZOLA BELL CLAY

Zola Bell Clay, age 90, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015. She was born in Halifax County on February 28, 1925 to the late Joseph Hassel Bell and Kate Newsome Bell. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Murray Hale and her second husband, Archie Benjamin Clay.
She is survived by her daughter, Norma Overman and her husband, Jerry of Princeton; sister, Juanita Flanagan of Rocky Mount; two grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and seven step-children from South Carolina.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 20, 2015 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Kelly Shope officiating. A committal service was held following the service at Sunnyside Cemetery in Scotland Neck,.
