Robert “Bob” Clifton Gray, Jr., age 72, of Rocky Mount, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015. Born October 21, 1942, he was the son of the late Robert Clifton Gray, Sr. and Mary Holland Gray. He is predeceased by his wife of forty-six years, Lilah R. Gray.
He is survived by daughters, Lisa Payne and her husband, Andrew, of Elm City, and Theresa Thomas and her husband, Tony, of Red Oak; son, Robert C. Gray, III of Sanford; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services,  Rocky Mount,   with Pastor Gary Wood of Harvest Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow the services at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2015 from 6-5 pm at Wheeler Woodlief Funeral Home.
