Vernice Horton, age 89 of Wendell, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2015.
A service was held Monday, January 19, 2015, 1pm at St. John United Holy Church, Zebulon,   with Rev. Dr. George Horton officiating. Interment followed at Riley Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include daughters,  Sharon Jeffreys (Mark) of Wendell, Gail Cole of Washington State, Genevella Kendrick of Philidelphia; sons, Walter Horton (Gloria) of Wendell, Ricky Mitchell (Cathy) of Burlington, Fredrick Kendrick of Middlesex; 9 grandchildren.
