HOLLISTER –– Bettie Mae R. Battle, 70, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015. An open visitation will be held at Richardson Funeral Home in Nashville on Friday, January 16 from 3-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Pleasure Hill Baptist Church. Burial will following in the Shiloh Church Cemetery. Rev. Will C. Tabron will officiate.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Wilson Battle of the home; daughters, Sheila Reid of Hollister and Jennifer Portin and husband Michael of Roanoke Rapids; sons Cornelius Battle of Rocky Mount and Randy Battle of Hollister; sisters, Delphine Francis, Hazel Ann Richardson and husband Anthony, all of Warrenton; brothers, John Junior Richardson of Scotland Neck and Ivan Richardson and wife Iris of Warrenton; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
