Pauline Evelyn Turner Joyner, age 88, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Jake Turner and Pauline Evelyn Jones Turner. Pauline was also preceded in death by her spouse, Hubert Harrison Joyner; sister, Betty Crooker; brothers, Billy, Leroy, Earl and Freddie N. Turner; and son-in-law, Kenneth R. Pollard.

She is survived by her daughters, Rachel J. Pollard of Rocky Mount, Patsy J. Land and husband, Sammy of Wilmington,  Gail J. House and husband, Danny of Pinetops; son, Phillip W. Joyner and wife, Winifred of Rocky Mount; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; sisters, Rose Carroll, Melva Carpenter and husband, Bruce and Peggy Ellison and brother, Ray Turner and wife, Denise.

A funeral service was held  Sunday, December 14, 2014  at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Rocky Mount, with Dr. Walt Cooper officiating. Burial was held at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
