JAMES OTTIS (JIMMY) CARTER

James Ottis (Jimmy) Carter , age 85, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014. Jimmy was born to Nathan James and Addie Robinson Carter on August 2, 1929 in Nash County.
He is survived by his daughter, Lynn Carol Carter of Atlantic Beach; son, James Ottis (Jay) Carter and his wife, Lynne of Greenville; three grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Sunday, December 7, 2014  at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Reverend David McBryar officiating. Burial  followed at Pineview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Edgemont Baptist Church, 1622 West Mount Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.
