BERTHA LINDSEY PRIDGEN

Bertha Lindsey Pridgen, 100, passed away August 15, 2014. Bertha was born September 1, 1913 in Nash County to the late Nick and Della Gordon Lindsey. Along with her parents, Bertha is preceded in death by her husband, William “Willie” Vernon Pridgen, several brothers and sisters, her son, William Hardy Pridgen, and grandson, Scottie Ricks. 
She is survived by two sons, Noah Lee Pridgen and wife Fannie and Allen “Bud” Pridgen and wife Cindy; three daughters, Mary Pridgen Smith and husband Luther, Myrtlean P. Ricks and husband James, and Joyce Pridgen Sherrod and husband Roland; 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 5 great- great- grandchildren. 
A funeral service was held at Cornerstone Funeral Home on Monday, August 18, 2014 at   with Rev. Glenn Hill and Pastor Tim Smith officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
