Peter McGrain, age 69, died on Sunday, August 3, 2014. He was born on March 25, 1945 in Queens, New York. He was preceded in death by his parents, John McGrain and Muriel Miller McGrain; and his brothers, John and Stephen.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Bernadette Hanna McGrain; his son Matthew and wife Therese; daughter Maryann Hopper and husband Brandon; two grandchildren;  siblings Michael, James Kevin, Eileen and Maureen.
A memorial funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 2 pm at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Rocky Mount.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 315 Hammond Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 or the American Cancer Society of Raleigh, 11 South Boylan Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27683.
