Merle ‘Mac’ McMillan, 79, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014. He was born November 18, 1934 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, son of the late Harvey and Opal Simpson McMillan. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth McMillan, and a sister-in-law, Carol McMillan.
Surviving are his wife, Susan ‘Sue’ Keen McMillan; daughter and son-in-law, Karen McMillan Scharf and Dan of Raleigh; son and daughter-in-law, Michael Harvey and Beth McMillan of Pittsboro; brothers, Rodney McMillan and John McMillan and wife, Sue, all of Mt. Vernon OH.
A memorial service was held Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Englewood United Methodist Church with the Rev. John H. Dutton, Jr. officiating.
