Evelyn Clay Pitt Bradley, age 89, passed away  Saturday, July 5, 2014. Born in Edgecombe County on June 25, 1925 she was the daughter of the late William Arthur Pitt and Bessie Price Pitt. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Russell Taswell Bradley; sisters, Virginia Price and Dal Vester; and brother, Clyde Pitt.
She is survived by her daughters, Becky B. Walker of Cary, Jean B. Brown and Sandra B. Barnes, both of Rocky Mount; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter.
A service to remember Evelyn will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Oakdale Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Price officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Oakdale Baptist Church, 13037 US 64 Alt. West, Rocky Mount NC 27801 or 3HC Hospice, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro NC 27534.
