OCIE JOYNER VICK PARKER

Ocie Joyner Vick Parker, age 89, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014. Born in Nash County on July 21, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Nathan Gravely Joyner and Bessie Wallace Joyner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Guy Linwood Parker; sister, Myrtlene Joyner Braswell; and brothers, Marvin, Herman, and John.
She is survived by daughters, Patsy V. Joyner and husband Ray of Rocky Mount and Toni Morgan and husband Randy of Goldsboro; son, Steve Parker and wife Gale of Rocky Mount; five grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; brothers, Selby Joyner, Lynwood Joyner and wife Miriam and Vernon Wallace and wife Barbara, all of Rocky Mount.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home with Dr. Harry Fowler of Southside Baptist Church officiating. Burial was at Mill Branch Cemetery.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church Building Fund, 4948 Carter Road, Elm City NC 27822.
Arrangements entrusted to Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home, Rocky Mount.
