DOROTHY HARDY LUCAS

Dorothy Hazel Hardy Lucas, age 87, passed away  Saturday, April 5, 2014. Born in Nash County on June 7, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Earl Dewey Hardy and Agnes Clay Hardy. She is also preceded in death by sisters, Frances Moss and Margaret Lynch; and brother, J. E. Hardy.
She is survived by her daughter, Vikki Reynolds and husband Dennis of Burlington; sons, Elton Gardner and wife Kathy of Chesterfield VA and Randy Gardner and wife Bobbie of Lynchburg VA; five grandchildren;  six great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, April 11, 2014 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Webb officiating. Visitation with the family will start at 1:30pm prior to the service. Burial will be at Red Oak Cemetery.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington NC 27215 or Alzheimers North Carolina, 1305 Navaho Drive, Suite 101, Raleigh NC 27609.
