Bedie Ward Woodcock, age 91, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013. Born in Lumberton on April 1, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Ransom Ward and Ola Ward Benton. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Lovell.
She is survived by her two sons, Tony Woodcock of Charlotte and Barry Woodcock and wife Sheila of Garner; one grandson;  two sisters, Doris Delk and Kay Easom of Hope Mills; and two brothers, Benny Benton of Dunn,  and Michael Benton of Raeford.
A funeral service was held Monday, December 9, 2013 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Peede officiating. Burial was at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
