Catherine Vick Strickland, age 92, passed away Monday, November 25, 2013. Born in Nash County on July 18, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Walter Thomas Vick and Siddie Pearl Vick. She was also preceded in death by her husband, R.S. Strickland and brothers, Isaac, Edward and Douglas Vick and Walter Thomas Vick Jr..
She is survived by two sons, Bobby V. Strickland and wife Lynn and Michael L. Strickland and wife Donna; three grandchildren;  five great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Britt and Rena Medlin; and brother, William Vick.
A graveside service was held  November 29, 2013 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Englewood United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 7128, Rocky Mount NC 27803.
