Guy Dempsey Davis, Jr., 60, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013. Born May 5, 1953, he was the son of Guy Dempsey and Peggy Hackney Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Ray Davis.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Grace Wall Davis of the home; daughter, Jennifer Davis of Rocky Mount, step-daughters, Loretta Harvey and Jo Outlaw both of Rocky Mount; sisters, Patricia Pendergrass and husband, John of Elm City, and Mary Evans of Rocky Mount; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A funeral service was held at Woodlief Funeral Home on Monday, November 11, 2013 with Rev. Harry Fowler officiating.
