Carolyn Goodyear Patterson, 70,  passed away on October 24, 2013. She was born in Dillon, SC to the late Lawrence H. and Hazel Llewellen Goodyear. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Donnie R. Patterson, and stepmother, Anne Johnson Goodyear.
She is survived by her children Rita P. Hight and husband Raymond of Nashville, Michael A Patterson of Nashville, Teresa P Langston and husband Earl of Battleboro; brothers and sisters, Joyce Hathaway of NC, L. H. Goodyear of CT, David Johnson of SC, Keith Johnson of DC, Gail Shivley of NC, Richard Goodyear of SC and Jane Smith of KY. She also leaves seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held October 27, 2013 in the  Chapel of Johnson Funerals and Cremations,  Rocky Mount with the Rev. Johnny Hudson officiating.
