Funeral services for Cleo Matthew Lynch, 65, who died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, were held Sunday, Sept. 22 at 3 p.m., at Showers of Blessing Church. Burial followed in the Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev. Andrew Singletary officiating.
Surviving: daughters, Mary W. Lynch of the home, Phyllis Grant and Hazel Armstrong, both of Rocky Mount,  Cynthia Jackson of Tarboro; sons, Gene Whitaker of Rocky Mount, James Whitaker Jr. of St. Louis, Mo.; sisters, Kathleen Massenburg of Nashville, Latoria Richardson of Hollister; brothers, Norman Lynch of Nashville, Michael Lynch of Rocky Mount.
Open visitation was held Saturday, Sept. 21, from 6 - 7 p.m., at Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Nashville.
