Billy Wayne Rose, 77 passed away Monday, August 19, 2013. He was born in Nash County on September 26, 1935 to the late Willie Wise and Shirley Bradley Rose.
He is survived by his wife Eleanor Morris Rose of the home; sons, Tony Wayne Rose and wife, Terri of Hughesville, MD, Jimmy Lee Rose and wife Karen of Charlotte Hall, MD, Jessie Lee Rose and wife, Buttons of Charlotte Hall, MD, Billy Wayne Rose, Jr. and wife, Lisa of La Plata, MD; daughters, Darlene Ann Rose of Annapolis, MD, Lisa Marie Rose of Woodbridge, VA, Teresa Diane Rose of Annandale, VA,; step sons, William Mitchell Mann, Jr. of Chincoteague, VA, Donald Gene Failinger of Hagerstown, MD; step daughters, Malinda Bernice Mann of Chincoteague, VA, Constance Marie Simpson of New Church, VA; sisters, Shirley Davis and husband, Joe of Nashville, Glenda Heflin and husband, Lawson of Port St. Lucie, FL, Charlotte Pasquerette and husband, William of Jefferson, MD, Mildred Hope Patterson of Rocky Mount, Cathy Shortt and husband, Terry of Nashville; thirteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; five step grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph “Pete” Rose.
A funeral service was held Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Griffin officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. |
