George T. Brown, 78, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013. He was born February 19, 1935 to the late Martin Luther and Zora Page Brown. He was also preceded by a grandchild, Christopher Jeffrey Scarbel; brothers, Martin L. Brown, Jr., Rev. Luther E. Brown, Rev. James C. Brown, Rev. Rubert E. Brown and Edgar R. “Buddy” Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Jean Brown; son, George Anthony Brown and fiancé, Lisa Ann Lamm; two daughters, Judy Carol Brown Barbee and husband Jerry, and Patricia Ann Brown; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Wilbert Brown and Thomas Brown; sisters, Verdie Matthews and Earlene Whittington.
A funeral service was held Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Nashville with Rev. Jerry Barbee officiating. Committal was held Monday, July 22, 2013 at Evergreen Memorial Park in Wilson.
