Marie Thorne Deans, 81, of Middlesex passed away Friday, July 19, 2013. Funeral services were held Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Joyner’s Funeral Home. A graveside service ws held Monday, July 22, 2013 in Bailey Town Cemetery. The Rev. Billy Toler ll officiated.
Marie is survived by her daughters, Barbara Deans Honeycutt of Middlesex and Tammy Deans Windham of Bailey; 3 grandsons; 1 great-granddaughter; sisters, Doris Owens of Norfolk, VA and Vickie Narron of Kenly, and her brother, Wayne Hopkins of Knightdale.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Braxton Deans; her son, Brooks Deans and her brothers, Kenneth Thorne and Autry Thorne.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army, PO Box 96, Wilson, NC 27894.
