Norman Cornelius Winstead, 83, passed away, Sunday, July 21, 2013. He was born September 5, 1929 in Nash County to the late, Dempsey Richard and Rhoda Lindsey Winstead. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Melton, Otha, Russell, Leaston, John, Horace and Cleveland Winstead.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Annette Viverette Winstead; son, Richard Winstead; two grandsons; two brothers, William and Aaron Winstead; sister-in-law, Doris Holmes; and brother-in-law, Carlton Viverette.
A memorial service was held July 25, 2103 at Cornerstone Funeral Home, Nashville, with the Rev. Mary Todd officiating.
