Eaton Corporation earns United Way Spirit of NC Award

United Way of North Carolina sponsors a Spirit of NC Award program, which offers statewide recognition for exceptional commitment and support to communities through local United Way involvement. The competitive awards are presented to honor corporations that demonstrate excellence in their United Way campaigns.  The scores are based on  several factors included your philanthropic culture, overall contribution, employee participation, leadership involvement, campaign coordinator involvement and how you partner with United Way to help improve the community.

Eaton Corporation won the award for the 2012 Campaign.  With just over 60 employees, their participation percentage was 98 percent with a per capita gift of $294.00.  Tommy Stockdale, Eaton’s Plant Manager, is a strong UW supporter.  Each year he makes his famous delicious chili for employees who contribute to United Way; which is what they attribute to their high employee participation.
