Faith Christian Ministries held a grand re-opening on Wednesday, May 15 to celebrate the work that has been done on both the inside and outside of the building, located in Downtown Nashville.
Recently, landscaping was done on the outside and a mural was installed on the wall of the building. The mural, titled “The Hands of Christ Reaching Out to All,” was painted by prisoners at Nash Correctional Institute and digital artist and former Nash County resident Roger Flake, touched up the piece, adding the Glory of God light and enhancing the Hands of Christ.
Faith Christian Ministries was started 30 years ago by Faye and C.A. Gardner.
Nashville’s Chamber of Commerce sponsored the grand re-opening event, which featured a ribbon cutting and remarks by current director Lynne Walker.
Several editions of the mural were done before the final one was approved. Walker said four other editions are being auctioned off between now and June 22. Bids can be made at Faith Christian Ministries.
The winners will be announced at a special worship dedication on Sunday, June 23 in the parking lot of the ministry.
