Former Spring Hope Commissioner dies
Hawley
Stanley Hawley, Sr., who served on the Spring Hope Board of Commissioners, passed away on Tuesday, March 19. He was 67 years old.

Hawley served as a commissioner for eight years until his official resignation in November 2011. Prior to his resignation, Hawley had stopped attending town board meetings.

In his resignation letter, Hawley cited a lack of support as his reason for resigning.

In his professional life, Hawley worked in funeral service for over 44 years.

Hawley is survived by his wife, Vera; five daughters and one son.

Services for Hawley were held on Thursday, March 21 2013 at Samaria Baptist Church in Middlesex.
