Astronomy Night at NES

Nashville Elementary School hosted Astronomy Night on Friday, March 1 at the school.

Each class at the school learned about the solar system, doing different projects as part of the curriculum.

As a part of Astronomy Night, students came out with their families to check out all the projects and to participate in more solar system projects. In addition, students were able to look at telescopes.

Telescopes were supposed to be set up outdoors on the baseball field but the cloud cover was too much and that event was cancelled. Instead, students were able to view the telescopes inside the gym, with help from Nash Community College students.
