MARVIN RAY GAY
Marvin Ray Gay, 76, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2013. He was born in Whitakers,   in Nash County on Feb. 12, 1937 to Willie Sloan Gay and Lucy Wells Gay. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his daughter, Gina Louise Gay.

He is survived by his children; Doug and Drillious Gay of Greenville, Edward and Marta Gay of Beaverdam, Virginia  and Randy and Kathy Vaughn of Rocky Mount; and six grandchildren; siblings Mary Alice Brown of Raleigh; Evelyn Glover and husband Robert of Rocky Mount; Emma Lou Pippen and husband Marvin of Scotland Neck; Peggy Brown and husband Clarence of Yorktown, VA; Rudolph Gay and wife Kathleen of Rocky Mount; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A graveside service was held March 1, 2013 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Parker Phillips officiating.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Roanoke Tar River Gun Club, P.O. Box 751, Battleboro NC 27809.
