Louise Carroll Mitchell, 90, passed away at Autumn Care of Nashville on Saturday March 2, 2013.
She was born in Nash County on May 23, 1922 to the late Benjamin and Jennie Gupton Carroll. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Mitchell, Sr, a Son, John W. Mitchell, Jr., brother-in-law, Robert(Cotton) Ruffin and 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
She is survived by daughters, Janice Turner (Sam) of Castalia, and Marjorie Ruffin of Whitakers, a son Roger Mitchell(Trudy) of Zebulon; sister-in-law, Margaret Mitchell of Scotland Neck; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday March 4, 2013 at Johnson Funerals and Cremations, Rocky Mount with the Rev. Carlisle Hall and Rev. Mike Coggins, officiating. Burial followed at Elmwood Cemetery in Enfield.
