Robert Lewis Smith, 72, passed away Friday, February 15, 2013. He was born in Bladen County, to the late Lewis Sanford and Mary Guy Smith and was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Grace Smith and a brother-in-law Dick Scott.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Pridgen Smith; daughters, Kim Smith Stallings (Derek) and Amy Smith Williams (Ray) of Elm City; son, Randall Lewis Smith(Jennifer) of Rocky Mount, 3 grandchildren; sisters, Rosalie Melton (James) of Rocky Mount, Judy Scott of Kent, Washington, Shirley Pollard (Rex) of Asheboro; brothers, Ronald Smith(Faye) of Fayetteville, Allen Smith (Shirley) of Garland, Glenn Smith (Janie) of Clyde, Texas, Joseph Smith of Garland, and James C. Smith( Phyllis) also of Garland.

A funeral service was held Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Johnson Funerals and Cremations, Rocky Mount. A committal service was held monday, February 18, 2013 at Mill Branch Cemetery, South Halifax Road, Rocky Mount.
