Scientists state facts but cannot offer proof
Dear Editor,

It is amazing how the news people lie to us and get away with it. Thomas Friedman of the New York Times, in a recent article, "U.S. needs an energy policy," states, "The vast majority of scientists tell us that global warming caused by our burning of fossil fuels is a real danger."

That is an unproven truth and a flat out lie about how many scientists believe in global warming. Almost 50 percent of scientists do not believe in global warming because there is no proof. Science is proof of a fact, not guess work. These "scientists" who believe in global warming have prostituted themselves and their profession by stating something as fact when they can't prove it.

I guess if you tell a lie often enough, it becomes fact – look at abortion!
