Faye Elizabeth Collie, 89, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012. She was born November 19, 1922 in Richmond County to the late William and Minnie Grooms Kelly. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Archie Atwood Collie, Sr.; two brothers, Jack Kelly and Lloyd Kelly; a sister, Thelma Hooks and a granddaughter, Michelle Collie.
She is survived by three sons, Archie Collie Jr. (Faye), Larry Collie (Judy) and Mike Collie (Jackie); one daughter, Evelyn Hausknecht (Wayne); one sister, Barbara Jean Herring (Reggie); one brother James Kelly (Levita); nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A service was held Saturday, November 3 in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with the Rev. William Donovan and Gene Holland officiating. Burial was at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
