John Edward Deringer, 81, passed away Thursday September 27, 2012. He was born February 3, 1931 in Queens, NY. He was the son of the late John George and Emma Augusta Sopa Deringer.

He is survied by his wife Anna Smith Deringer; six children, Scott Deringer of Nesconset, NY, Colleen Spitzner of Centereach, NY, Laura Ems of Greenville, John Deringer, Jr. and wife Michelle of Nashville, James Deringer and companion Kelly of Tannersville, NY, Chris Deringer and wife Shannon of Nashville; and nine grandchildren.   

A funeral service was held Sunday September 30, 2012   in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Gurganus and Rev. Jimmy Reavis officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
