BATTLEBORO - Funeral services for Charles Junior “Joe” Avent, 66, who died on Friday, Sept. 7, 2012 will be Friday, Sept. 14 at 1 p.m. at Pleasure Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the New St. John Cemetery with Rev. Ruth Taylor officiating.
Surviving: wife, Myrtle Taylor Avent of the home; a daughter, Vivian Johnson of Battleboro; a son, Walter Williams of Baltimore, Md.; mother, Dorothy Avent of Whitakers; sister, Evelyn Farmer of Whitakers.
Open visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 13, from 4-8 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Nashville.
