W.O. Boone Jr. (Buddy), age 97, passed away on Saturday, September 08, 2012. Born in Nash County on November 24, 1914, he was the son of the late William Oscar Boone Sr. and Sally Mae Bell Boone.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Davis Boone; son, Lindsey Boone and wife Janice; daughter, Margaret Smith and husband Prem; daughter, Martha Sutton and husband Gene; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Mae Chason, Trudy Brigman.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday morning in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gary Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Nashville.
Arrangements entrusted to Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home, Rocky Mount.
