ALBERT LEE SURLES JR.
Albert Lee Surles Jr. 62, passed away Friday September 7, 2012. He was born to the late Albert and Cora Surles on December 11, 1949 in Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lennie Ray and sister Mary Rodenbo.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Geraldine Surles, two sons Albert Lee Surles III and wife Kristin of Elm City, and Christopher Mark Surles of the home. A daughter Karen Surles Ellis and husband Kevin of Nashville, five grandchildren; brother John Andrew Surles of Rocky Mount, and two sisters, Carolyn Hughes of Halifax and Joyce Parker of Elm City.

A funeral service was held Monday, September 10, 2012 at 2 p.m.at Johnson Funeral and Cremations, 661 English Road, Rocky Mount. Burial  followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
