Doris Eula Langley Lindsey, age 88, passed away Friday, August 17, 2012. Born in Nash County on December 6, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Willie Lindsey Langley and Emma Baker Langley.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband Hubert Lee Lindsey, her grandson, Lindsey Alex Correll, her brother, Marvin A. Langley and sister, Eunice Langley Batchelor.
She is survived by her two daughters, Brenda Gail Lindsey of Rocky Mount and Sherry Lindsey Correll and her husband Alan Davis Correll; one grandson; brother, Thurman Langley and wife Mae of Rocky Mount, sister, Carolyn Harrell and husband Bill of Tennessee and sister, Lois Dixon of Rocky Mount. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 20, 2012 in the chapel of Wheeler Woodlief Funeral Home with the Reverend Tim Hogan officiating. Burial followed in Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
