LOVETT LAWRENCE “TINNY” JOHNSON
Lovett Lawrence “Tinny” Johnson, age 73, passed away Friday, August 3, 2012. He was born on August 26, 1938 in Edgecombe County, son of the late Grover Cleveland Johnson and Myrtle Pearce Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Archie Derwood Johnson, Jesse Howard Johnson and Morris Wayne Johnson; a sister, Nellie Mae Grinnell.

He is survivied by his wife of 56 years, Alma Parker Johnson; daughters, Pam Jackson and husband Jeff, Debbie Parker and husband Steve; three grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Monday, August 6, 2012 in the chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home, with Dr. Harry Fowler and Rev. Ken Cobb officiating. Burial  followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. 

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Southside Baptist Church Building Fund, 4948 Carter Road, Elm City, NC 27822.
