MARTHA PHIPPS ANDREWS
Martha Phipps Andrews, 96,  passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012.  She was born in Durham County March 21, 1916 to the late Alonza Green and Margaret Carden Phipps.  She was preceded in death by her husband William J. Andrews and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by a son, John William Andrews “J.W.” and wife Ann of Rocky Mount; daughter, Jackie Andrews Henderson of Durham; sister Coma P. Esthay of Louisiana; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren
A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, Cheek Road, Durham with Rev. Virgil Nolen officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Free Will Baptist Church, 808 W. Club Blvd., Durham, NC  27701.
