MARTHA WHEELESS LEWIS
Martha Wheeless Lewis,  passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Daughter of the late Artis Edward “Shorty” Wheeless, and Frances Elizabeth “Fanny Bet” Frazier Wheeless, she was also predeceased by her brothers William A. “Billy” Wheeless, and Robert J. “Bobby” Wheeless, and her  sister-in-law Bertha Barnes Wheeless.

She  is survived by her husband James T. “Tommy” Lewis, her sons Carlton Brown and Edward Brown, daughter-in-law Bernice LeBlanc, and five grandsons.

A funeral service was held at Proctor’s Chapel Baptist Church Monday, June 25, 2012 at 11 a.m., followed by interment at Pineview Cemetery.

The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Moose Charities Inc. (www.moosecharities.org) in her memory.

Arrangements by Johnson Funeral Home, 661 English Road, Rocky Mount.
