ROCKY MOUNT - Lena Mae Edmonds, 76, passed away on Thursday, May 17.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 12 noon from the Social Union Baptist Church with Rev. Nathaniel Bunn officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include spouse Willie Lee Edmonds of Nashville; three daughters, Mary D. Cheek of the home, Angelina Edmonds of Nashville and LaTonya S. Richardson of Wilson; five sons, Vernon Cheek of Rocky Mount, William E. Cheek of Nashville, Hazel Edmonds of the home, Haywood C. Edmonds of Nashville and Willie Lee Edmonds, Jr of Nashville; two sisters, Erma Cooper of Nashville and Sharon Douglas of Rocky Mount; 13 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
