ROCKY MOUNT –– James Thomas Phelps, 73, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012. He was born November 28, 1938 in Nash County to the late Thomas Reuben and Annie Harris Phelps.
Survivors include a sister Patsy Taylor and husband Brooks, niece Donna T. Fassnacht and husband Bill, nephew Steve Taylor and wife Betsy, and special friend Jackie Jackson.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with visitation following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Benvenue Baptist Church or The American Heart Association.
