Ellen Ricks Bobbitt, 49, of Nashville, died on Wednesday, April 11, 2012. She was born on February 14, 1963 to Loretta Ricks and the late Robert Lee Ricks.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Shanterry Hope.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years: Troy Bobbitt of the home; children: Travis (LaToya Alston) of Nashville and Alex of the home; her mother: Loretta Ricks of Nashville; grandmother: Henrietta Brake of Nashville; one brother: Robert Lee Ricks of Nashville; two sisters: Mary Ricks of Nashville and Mary Hope of Baltimore, MD; one uncle: Jeremiah Clark of Nashville; three aunts: Sarah Richardson, Ida Hargrove (Harold) and Teresa Horne (Billy); two sisters-in-law: Carolyn Sneed of Fayetteville and Gwendolyn Rogers (Bruce) of Rocky Mount; and one brother-in-law: Shelton Bobbitt.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m., on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Rocky Mount. The interment took place immediately following the service in the Gardens of Gethsemane Cemetery in Rocky Mount.
