Christopher “Chris” Todd Murphy was born in Cincinnati, Ohio August 25, 1962 to the late Joseph Richard Murphy and Laura Janet Towner Bucher. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Murphy, an aunt, Mary Rogers and stepfather, Charles Bucher.
He is survived by his maternal grandmother, Kathryn Hoffard of Leland; brothers, Greg and Mike Murphy both of Nashville; sisters, Shari Murphy of Wilmington, Jennifer Murphy of Broadview Heights, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Monday April 16, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at Rock Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Blake Dempsey officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930 B Wellness Drive, Greenville NC 27834.
