RAMONA BRASWELL SILVER HARVEY
Ramona Braswell Silver Harvey, of Oxnard, California, beloved mother, grandmother and great- grandmother, returned to her heavenly home on April 5, 2007. She was born in Nash County, North Carolina on February 26, 1932, to the late Jonah Braswell and Calie Teenie Boose. After graduating from Nash County Training School in 1951, she settled in southern California.

Ramona was preceded in death by her sister, Alberta Braswell Buck and her brothers, Reuben, Joe, Willard, Earl and Daniel Braswell.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Silver of Rocky Mount, NC, Lisa Houston (Steve) of Oxnard, CA, and Kirby Harvey of Camarillo, CA; sisters Josephine Westry of Nashville, NC, Marva Stokes of Baltimore, MD and Yvonne Braswell of Norfolk, VA; brother Albert Braswell of Richmond, VA; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and a large extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private ceremony will be held for the immediate family. In lieu of cards and flowers, please make donations in Ramona's name to Church for the Nations, 270 W. 5th Street, Oxnard, CA.

Final arrangements are being handled by Garcia Mortuary in Oxnard, CA.
