MR. LUTHER W. GRIFFIN
GREENVILLE  –– Mr. Luther W. Griffin, 69, passed away Monday, February 27, 2012 at Vidant Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Griffin, a native of Nash County, graduated from Nashville High School.  He lived and worked in New Bern for many years before moving to Greenville in 1985.  Mr. Griffin worked as an advertising executive selling ads for WCTI and WNCT and various radio stations.  An avid fisherman, he loved spending time boating, especially at Cape Lookout.

Mr. Griffin was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Delilah Griffin.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Susanne; daughters, Tiffany Ramsey and husband, Randall, of Beaufort, Beth Hudgins and her son, Joseph Wilson Ralph, of New Bern,  Laura Natella and her son, Robert Natella, of New Bern, Sandy Cole, her husband, Ed, and son Chase Cole, of Cummings, GA; Mitzi Webster and her daughter, Christina Webster of Yorktown, VA; and Deborah Wilson and husband, Billy, of Grifton, VA.        

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
