George Dozier age, 97, passed away on February 15, 2012 in the Nash General Hospital. He was born on April 28, 1914 in Nash County to the son of the late Joseph Ernest and Lula Proctor Dozier.
He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth P. Dozier and son Bruce Dozier; sisters, Lizzie Gardner, Lucille Herbert; brothers, James Dozier, Joe Dozier, Richard Dozier, Eugene Dozier and Arthur Dozier.
He is survived by his son Kenneth (Kent) Dozier and daughter-in-law Rebecca (Becky) Dozier; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
A celebration of George’s life was held Sunday February 19, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Dortches Baptist Church and Westview Baptist Church.
