WILLIAM “ARDELL” FARMER
William “Ardell” Farmer, 83, passed away Thursday January 26, 2012. He was born July 25, 1928 in Wilson County to the late Joshua Lee and Mary Belle Jenkins Farmer. Ardell was preceded in death by a sister, Susie Bulluck and a step-son, Jeffery Bottoms.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years Madie Whitehead Farmer, two step-daughters; Joanne B. Lewis and husband Jimmy of Nashville, Debra B. Ross and husband Tim of Port Angeles WA., one brother, Earl Farmer and wife Emma Jean of Bailey, brother-in-law, Robert H. Bulluck of Elm City, two sisters; Mabel F. Baker of Greenville and Rebecca F. Joyner and husband Lauris of Nashville, four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held January 29, 2012 at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Nashville at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Ron Hawley officiating. Burial followed at Cedar Grove in Elm City.

Flowers will be accepted or a love offering may be made to Madie Farmer at 6310 E. Langley Road, Elm City, NC 27822.
