LINDSEY PARKER
Lindsey Parker, 90, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011.  She was born December 1, 1921 in Nash County, daughter of the late Nathaniel and Sallie Winstead Lindsey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Otha J. Parker, a son, Leon Parker and brothers, Ernest, Cleveland and Lotis Lindsey.

She is survived by her daughter, Margie Thomas; son Danny Ray Parker and his wife Betty Sue all of Sandy Cross; brothers, Dempsey Lindsey of Sandy Cross and Otis Lindsey of Wilson; sisters, Bettie Edwards of Sandy Cross and Etta Vick of Oak Level; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Tuesday at 2 p.m. on January 3, 2012, at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Braziel and Rev. Daniel Parker officiating.  Burial followed at the Parker Family Cemetery.
