Castalia –– Kipling Carter Hardy, 58, passed away peacefully at his home Friday, December 23, 2011.

A service to celebrate his life and pay tribute to his memory was held at 1 pm, Monday, December 26, 2011 at Wilson Community Church with Pastor Gary Combs and Reverend Wray Wheeless officiating. Burial followed at 3 p.m., Forest Hills Cemetery, Nashville.

Kip was born in Nash County December 21, 1953 to Lloyd G. & Pattie C. Hardy and was recently preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by a loving family that includes his wife, Debra Wrenn Hardy; daughter, Angela H. Ayscue & husband, Tommy, of the home; son, William Mark Hardy of Virginia Beach; brother, Chris C. Hardy & wife, Kathy, of Nashville; five grandchildren, Jessica, Cody, Hunter & Laura Ayscue, and Jason Early; nephews, Joel Hardy and Bradley Hardy & wife, Ashley.

Friends were invited to visit the family at the church one hour prior to the service.
