Doris Bunting Manning, age 82, passed away Friday, December 16, 2011. Born in Wilson County on June 19, 1929, she was one of 10 children born to the late Grover Cleveland Bunting and Ella Long Bunting. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Carolyn Manning and son, Garland Ivan “Vann” Manning, Jr.
She is survived by her son, David Wayne Manning and wife Janet of Rocky Mount; and three grandchildren.
A service to remember Doris was held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Proctors Chapel Church with Dr. Walt Cooper and Rev. Tim Hogan officiating. Burial followed at Pineview Cemetery.
Arrangements entrusted to Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home, Rocky Mount.
