Nancy Beatty Smith, of Rocky Mount, passed away on November 30, 2011. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Richard Bruce Smith; her four children, Freda Smith Vittone of Arlington VA, Cynthia Smith Barsanti of Fairfax VA, Richard Scott Smith of Rocky Mount and Katherine Smith Bergen of Richmond VA; her two sons-in-law, Joseph Barsanti and James Bergen; her five grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her sister, Emily Beatty Pennington and brothers, Kenneth Carlton Beatty and Jack Ayres Beatty.
A “Celebration of Life” service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, January 14, 2012 at First Baptist Church will Rev. Larry Curtis officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville NC 27834.
